‘’You’re upgrading, so cut yourself some slack’’

When in upgrading mode, other functions might not work as you expect. Or the whole system might not even work (properly). When we upgrade, we expect that everything is better instantly. Well, the upgrade itself is instantly better, yes, but the proces of upgrading can take time. The implementation and integration of this new software onto the hardware takes time. The whole system has to get acquainted with this new software and it needs to settle into the harddisk. So sometimes hardware can handle this in the background, while your computer is up and running as you know it. Other times it needs other functions to stop working for a while, or sometimes the whole system needs to pause. When that happens, you are making space for the new software to settle in.

So imagine being this computer. When you feel you are processing and upgrading into new feelings, behaviours, new truths or discoveries: cut yourself soms slack. You are not broken, you’re whole system is simply using it’s power to become another version of yourself. If you don’t have the energy you are used to, If you feel like you react more uptight, or If you get emotional about a thing you thought you already processed: don’t worry. Your hardware is processing new software, so other functions might work poorly or not at all. It might feel like the two steps forward, one step back. Or even two forward and three back.
Okey so what are your options here?
You can demand your hardware to function, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the sake of the lifetime of the whole computer. My suggestion is you have patience, take rest, and be the kindest person you can be to yourself. And just let the computer do it’s work, it knows how to do this. Which is quite remarkable, so you might even want to consider being thankful for it.
